Big Picture About the Campaign

•  This week, we kick off the Love Builds Hope Campaign. This effort aims to strengthen every parish in the valley, including our own.
• Our parish goal is to raise $250,000, over three years.
• Half of what we raise will be used to complete our parish projects:
  • Repair Church Bell Tower Windows
  • Upgrade HVAC Systems in Parish Hall
  • Complete the Legacy Project
• Additional campaign funds will be available to provide pastoral care to parishioners in the RGV through evangelization, mental wellness support, and youth ministry.

Invitation to Participate

• In the spirit of stewardship, we are being called to recognize that all we have is a gift from God, and we are merely caretakers of these blessings. Bishop Daniel Flores and I have every confidence in your generosity. We understand that each of us is blessed differently, and not everyone can participate in the same way or give the same amount. However, we humbly ask each parishioner to prayerfully consider making a meaningful gift that reflects the blessings you have received.
• Both Bishop Flores and I were among the first to make a pledge to this campaign. Recognizing the needs and the opportunity to invest in the legacy of our parish and the Church in the Rio Grande Valley, we felt called to contribute in a way that is significant for us.

Appeal Packet Information

• Campaign packets will be available following Mass for you to pick up.
• Inside, you will find our case statement, which details the campaign goals and the impact we hope to make.
• You will also find a letter and pledge card inviting you to consider a specific pledge amount to the campaign. Pledges can be fulfilled over a three-year period. This is a significant request of our community, one born out of real and pressing needs. Please remember that this invitation to give is just that—an invitation, not an expectation. All pledges are above and beyond your normal offertory giving.
• Please fill out your pledge form and return it next weekend. You may place it in the collection basket, drop it off at the parish office or mail it.
• Whatever gift you can offer, after thoughtful and prayerful discernment, will be received with deep gratitude and will make a meaningful difference.

Closing Remarks

• I am deeply grateful to our campaign volunteers. As ambassadors of this campaign, I have asked them to reach out to many of our parish families to answer any questions you may have and to invite your participation. I kindly ask that you receive them warmly on my behalf and openly share your thoughts with them. Their dedication embodies the spirit of stewardship, sharing their gifts for the benefit of our community.
• Together, we are working toward a stronger parish and striving to leave a legacy for generations of Catholics in the Rio Grande Valley. This mission requires a spirit of generosity and cooperation from all of us. Let us embrace this opportunity to practice stewardship, recognizing that through our collective efforts, we can achieve far more than any of us could alone.
